Company description
Almos d.o.o. was founded in 2001 as a private green field investment. Our core business is the production of high pressure aluminium die casting parts of various fields of use. Due to the need of increasing the volume of production and to constantly improve the quality of our products, in 2015 a project was started to build a new production hall and purchasing of new machines, which will increase the capacity and quality of production, as well as the number of employees.
The project was completed in 2017 and the current production capacity is 2500 tonnes per year. By constantly improving working conditions, improving quality and increasing productivity, our goal is to be a reliable partner to our customers.
We are currently producing with the following alloys:
226 - EN AB-AlSi9Cu3(Fe) - EN AB-46000
230 - EN AB-AlSi12(Fe) - EN AB-44300
231 - EN AB-AlSi12Cu1(Fe) - EN AB-47100
239 - EN AB-AlSi10Mg(Fe) - EN AB-43400
In order to ensure the quality of raw materials, we use spectral analysis of the chemical composition of the aluminum alloys.
Our plant is also equipped with the appropriate machines, tools and machinery, that in addition to untreated or semi-finished castings, final processed castings can also be delivered.
Casting
We are currently casting parts in varying dimensions and mass, from 0,03 up to 5,2 kg. We are capable of casting parts with a weight of max. 15 kg. At the moment we have 11 high pressure die casting machines ranging from 200t to 1350t.
During the process of high pressure die casting, metal alloy is injected at high speed and high pressure into the mould. The high pressure die casting process allows for producing high amounts of thin walled and other complex shapes. The die cast parts have a smooth and clean surface finish.
Machining
We currently have following vertical machining centers and periphery equipment
HAAS VF2 SS high speed 4-axis machining center – working area 750x410x500 mm
CNC FEELER vertical machining center – working area 700x500x500 mm
CNC DMC vertical machining center – working area 900x500x510 mm,
CNC Lathe Takisawa LA200M with live tooling.
3 x Multi-Spindel tapping machines. We can do 2 - 8 simultaneous M4 – M8 threads, on a diameter range of Ø50 - Ø250mm.
