Upper Lusatian workshops offer a wide range of fields of activity
The Oberlausitzer Werkstätten (OLW) are part of Diakoniewerks Oberlausitz gGmbH.
In the Upper Lusatian Workshops, people with disabilities have the opportunity to participate in working life and vocational training in accordance with Sections 219 - 227 SGB IX and the Workshop Ordinance.
Around 1200 people with disabilities work at a total of six locations in the districts of Bautzen and Görlitz. They are guided, accompanied and professionally trained by qualified specialists.
Vocational education is standardized and is carried out in the vocational training sector in accordance with the PRACTICE MODULE procedure on the basis of statutory training framework plans. After successful completion of vocational education (performance assessment), participants are issued certificates by the responsible chambers.
