Dopfer Precision Mechanics and Maschienbau is a company that specializes in high-precision machine single and serial parts. Founded Dopfer Precision Engineering
in 1991 in Gabelbachergreut. To continue meeting the high demands of precision ments, the company was relocated in 2001 after Zusmarshausen in a newly built hall of 500 sqm.

The D&W Group consists of five independent limited liability companies.

Each company specialises in a separate field, such as tailor-made steel and plant construction, specialised machinery and equipment and mechanical processing.

In addition to these core business activities, the D&W Group manufactures semi trailers and chassis for containers and trailers, and operates as a contract manufacturer for the mechanical processing of metals and plastics.

What is today the D&W Group began in 1991 with a company called MWD - Mechanische Werkstatt und Dienstleistungsgesellschaft mbH. It employed ten people and operated primarily as a supplier to the construction and metalworking industry.
