In March 1913, a factory manufacturing agriculture machinery was established as part of a join-stock company, H. Cegielski in Poznań. This factory became a base for our long term production and business activities. In 1952, the company gained legal existence under the name of Metallurgical Works “Pomet”. In 1994, “Pomet” was converted into a join-stock company.
Our foundry is located in Poznań and we have over 90 years of experience in the casting of carbon and low alloy cast steels as well as aluminium and copper alloys.
Production activities of the foundry include a wide range of castings for marine engines and spare parts, ship equipment, railway rolling stock, mining equipment, container corners, fittings, valving, and others.
We supply complex castings that meet worldwide standards in terms of quality and technical requirements. We employ 300 highly qualified engineers and workers. POMET S.A. has its own design and technological departments, which are supported by the successful implementation of ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System.
Approximately 30% of our general turnout is exported to the European Union. Our future development and expansion plans aim to modernize the technology of castings, in order to constantly improve their quality. We also apply effective environmental protection policies in compliance with international standards.
