The Nowack Company was founded in 1932. In its early years, the firm specialised in the manufacture, processing and printing of natural corks. With the increasing use of plastic in the beverage sector in the 1950s, the company put its first injection moulding machines into operation.

As markets continued to grow and become more demanding, the firm made parallel endeavours to widen its range of plastic articles and expand into other sectors. The move to the Lohne Industrial Park in 1972 proved to be decisive, as it offered the company the space that it required to continue to develop and grow. Various expansions in the production area throughout the 1980s and 90s allowed the company to move into further sectors, such as toolmaking, serigraphy and dabber printing.

The year 2003 was marked by the construction of the new administration building and the addition of a further 1000 square metres of production floorspace. As you can see – Nowack is a firm that gets things done. And it intends to remain that way. We fully intend, now that the company is being run by a third generation of managers, to carry on doing everything within our power to have a positive influence on cooperation with our customers both old and new. The NRU GmbH was founded in 1992 as NRU precision technology GbR by the three partners Dr. Jürgen Jahn, Dr. Ludwig Kant and Dr. Hubert Zeidler. In 1999 2007, the company name, the company name was changed to Precision Technology GmbH NRU and renamed NRU GmbH. The objective at its foundation was, with new developments in the field of rapid prototyping, such as stereolithography to combine classical manufacturing methods such as casting, and so to allow effective production of investment castings in small quantities. Hence the three current main business areas have developed: precision casting - Rapid Prototyping - plastic vacuum casting. Following up step by step the technological evolution, we have four AKIRA SEIKI vertical machining centres -a five-axis (4 + 1) and three three-axis, as well as a three-axis CNC lathe. We use CAM/CAD NX UNIGRAPHICS SIEMENS to design and program. For the quality control, we use a CMM of Tesa.

The combination of technological knowledge and modern equipment allows us to meet the needs for quality products and reasonable costs, both in cutting tools manufacture and general machining.
