In 2003, the company started developing and manufacturing special packaging solutions for machine components under the name Fertigungsservice Ebern. Manufacturing and assembly services rounded off the offer for local mechanical engineering companies.

In 2011, the move to former Bundeswehr maintenance halls in the “Alte Kaserne” industrial park took place. In order to supply a machine tool manufacturer, an extensive raw material warehouse with steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics, including a cutting service, was set up here. The sawing operations, including retrograde inventory removal, are carried out paperless via an SAP connection.

The range of products for our customers was constantly expanding, for example through welding and assembly technology, material finishing and CNC milling and turning technology.

Always growing — Lang GmbH was able to attract several mechanical engineering companies as a direct supplier for the supply of saws and materials. In 2013, mechanical production was set up — through investments in three CNC milling centers and two CNC lathes, some with powered tools. Since 2014, Lang GmbH has been training its own young talent at the Ebern site as a cutting machine operator specializing in milling and turning technology

With increased demand, an additional site for cutting and storage a few kilometers south of Coburg began work in January 2018.
