Rasche was founded in 1925 and is still a family-run company today.
Our core competence lies in complex formed parts with high precision. For this purpose, we have separated from old machines in recent years and replaced them with new machines.
CNC processing has also been integrated in our company for several years, so that we can produce ready-to-install parts.
We can also carry out a heat treatment or surface coating with our long-term partners.

These partners are leading forging-, ring rolling- and casting companies producing a wide range of products, e.g.:
• small drop forged items up to heaviest open die forgings.
• seamless hot rolled rings in various shapes and steel grades - from the smallest to the biggest possible dimensions.
• grey, spheroidal graphite, alloy cast irons and centrifugal castings of nonferrous alloys and stainless steels.

ForgingCastingSolutions - We bring your construction into shape!

You have the drawing and we have the right foundry or blacksmith.
We procure your parts for you internationally at good conditions as requested and deliver them to your warehouse on time. These can be raw parts or machined parts. Also electroplated or hot-dip galvanized or painted.
Do you need detailed advice on the choice of materials, design or implementation of existing welded and milled constructions for new cast or forged parts? Then you are right with us.
Would you like to have all parts of an assembly fully assembled? No problem either.
We take care of the quality, the right packaging for sea or air transport, customs clearance and then deliver the goods to the desired delivery location. Also with special packaging requests such as printed cardboard boxes or the like.

Our name is known and our performance is valued. Over the past few decades, Schmidt's customer database has been continuously filled with well-known companies.

More than 390 employees are currently spread across three locations. Ready-to-install components and assemblies are manufactured at the headquarters in Westhausen, Swabia. In addition to the latest CNC machining technology, multi-stage manufacturing processes are also installed here.

The location in Eberswalde in Brandenburg was founded in 2010 to create production capacities for automotive projects in particular. The state-of-the-art machine park currently covering 12,000 m² enables efficient large-scale production with a maximum degree of automation at the highest technical level.

At the beginning of 2016, we started series production at our newest location in the USA in Auburn, Alabama.

The classics - turning and milling - are still the central processes at Schmidt. Individually tailored to the respective product segment, Schmidt always has the right production facility, regardless of whether it is to be processed from the bar or in the chuck.
Over the years, further manufacturing technologies have been continuously integrated into our process chains. This includes, for example, swaging and axial forming. For most components, there are also various downstream operations on the plan, such asB. hardening processes, cylindrical grinding and surface finish individually tailored to the component.


Our quality management system is certified according to ISO / TS 16949: 2009. As a direct supplier to well-known OEMs, our quality structure is based on the rules and criteria of the VDA. In this context, tools such as failure mode and influence analyzes FMEA, statistical process control SPC and VDA supplier audits are part of our daily work.
