The Company Helios Technology, established in 1981, has been one of the pioneer companies in Europe in the production of cells, modules and photovoltaic systems.
From more than 20 years in the sector, Helios has continuously improved the production technology of the cells, modules and systems, obtaining as a result a wide range of products going from photovoltaic modules of 20 up to 150 Watt, charge regulators, solar street lights and low energy consumption lamps.

The result of such experience and the technologic improvement is better expressed with products like the H1540, manufactured with cells that are one of the biggest today existing in the world market: their size is in 165 x 165 mm and they have a typical efficiency of 14-15% with maximum top over 16%, this is the result of the advanced manufacturing process and high efficiency cells I-Max ® in mono-crystalline silicon.
I-Max ® technology, developed by Helios Technology for its range of high efficiency modules, allows to obtain, differently comparing with the traditional modules, an increase current output of (10-17%) at operating battery voltage (12-13 Volt).
During the year 2003 the production capacity will increase from actual 2,9 Megawatts/year up to 5 Megawatts/year on a work shift basis.
Our photovoltaic modules range from 20 Watts to 150 Watts, boasting one of the most complete lines for several applications: grid connected systems in the photovoltaic roofs, water pumping systems, stand alone systems supplied with batteries for houses and telecommunications. Our photovoltaic modules are certified from European Union Laboratories of ISPRA.
Another of the main activities of Helios Technology is also the Know How transfer, this is demonstrated by the successful Joint Ventures realized in Europe, Africa, India and China.

What is sheet metal processing? Sheet metal processing (or CNC sheet metal processing) is defined as the mechanical or thermal processing of sheets. Sheet consists of boards of metal which were produced by a rolling process. It is divided into thin sheets, up to 3 mm, and heavy plates with a thickness of more than 3 mm. Most metals can be processed into sheets and further treated afterwards. Most frequently processed materials are: aluminum, structural steel, copper and stainless steel. For the initial processing of these sheets usually one of the following methods is selected: e.g. laser cutting, nibbling, stamping and bending, precision cutting, shearing. These manufacturing processes are all CNC-controlled on the basis of CAD/CAM-designed data. Downstream processes mainly include deep-drawing, bending, plate rolling, plate straightening, clinching, laser cutting 3D, fineblanking, spinning, pressing and punching, stamping / bending.
