Gimas was establihed in Ödemiş on the 5th of February 1976 by MBc Mechanical Engineer Şamil Girgin.The workshop had a closed area of 144 m2 and the jobs wehe carried out by 5 workers with 1 driling machine.1 cutting machine and 2 welding machines.The first major jop for izmir Rafinery comprised of the manufacture and erection of a turbo generator building structure. Due to the transportation of raw steel from izmir and then after complation the re-transportation to the site near izmir,the factory was moved the Menemen,izmir.
On the 22nd of February 1978 the new workshop in Menemen started with 800 m2 closed area and 4000 m2 open area.There were 15 workers and the the equipment included 3 drilling machines, 2 cutters, 5 welding matchines, plate roller bending machine and sets of head exchanger jigs.

The G+ K Forming GmbH was founded on 22.2.2000 by Mr standards Jamara and Dr. Michael Kunkel. What is sheet metal processing? Sheet metal processing (or CNC sheet metal processing) is defined as the mechanical or thermal processing of sheets. Sheet consists of boards of metal which were produced by a rolling process. It is divided into thin sheets, up to 3 mm, and heavy plates with a thickness of more than 3 mm. Most metals can be processed into sheets and further treated afterwards. Most frequently processed materials are: aluminum, structural steel, copper and stainless steel. For the initial processing of these sheets usually one of the following methods is selected: e.g. laser cutting, nibbling, stamping and bending, precision cutting, shearing. These manufacturing processes are all CNC-controlled on the basis of CAD/CAM-designed data. Downstream processes mainly include deep-drawing, bending, plate rolling, plate straightening, clinching, laser cutting 3D, fineblanking, spinning, pressing and punching, stamping / bending.
