Officine Meccaniche Irpine (OMI), has worked in the Aerospace Industry for over thirty years, consolidating supply relationships and establishing collaborations with major national industries for the production of parts and equipment. Production departments were started and developed in “Industrial Area Calaggio” in Lacedonia, a province of Avellino, in a covered production area of 10,000 M², the base for over ninety staff. While in The P.I.P Area of Vallata, a few kilometres from the historic OMI base, two new plants, both of 7,500 M², have been established, to support surface treatment processes and the manufacturing of composite parts.

OMI production is carefully controlled, by multi- dimensional checks and process controls which always guarantee exceptionally high quality levels. As well as industrial participation in important aircraft programs, Airbus, Boeing and Lockheed Martin, OMI has an experimental department researching aeronautical parts and innovative processes for the manufacture of composite materials, including support to the general aviation industry.
The Research and Development unit is responsible for the development of innovative products, and the experimentation with new technologies, with the objective of reducing production costs and improving the functional capabilities of products, whether these be parts, assemblies, equipment, tools or other special items.
