The 25 companies of the group are all located in the Lombardy Region in Northern Italy and produce different categories of products, from the chemical to engineering, automotive and others (see the List of Industries belows), and that are all certified. Companies possess a common secretariat who speak the main languages, that has a technical expertise for the various products and technologies and that dispatches the request to the group companies that would best suit the requirements.

We are known as an efficient producer of circular machine knives in the market and are concerned for several decades with the theme of "cutting". In addition, we also see ourselves as a service and support our customers from all industrial sectors in solving specific problems cutting.

Alumec since 1972 is leader in the field of Aluminium Extrusion. Alumec designs and develops a wide range of profiles, to satisfy each costumer’s requirement.
Starting from Micro profiles, with thickness from 0,6 mm and a weight of 20 grams, up to profiles with weight of 10 Kg per meter.

The company's origins can be traced back to the German company Bayer-Müller, Burghaun (1952). BARAT CARBIDE as it exists today was formed in 2006 when the Hardmaterials Group of Boart Longyear was sold to Equita Management GmbH.
