The high status of the industrial location testifies to a decades-long tradition: The location was founded in 1924 as a production facility for textile viscose yarns of the Vereinigte Glanzstoff-Fabriken AG. In 1938, the production of technical viscose yarns began, which were mainly used as a reinforcing material in the carcass of car tires.
