Founded in 1990, Imtec as a leading manufacturer of technical tools, quickly spread to other demanding markets and technologies becoming one of the top companies within mold making industry.
It’s labor force is divided in two plants, one for tools up to 3T and the second one for tools up to 25T. In 2017, Imtec established a partnership with IT-MILL which increased even more its capacity with regard to rough milling, deep drillings and mouldbases.
Currently, IMTEC provides solutions to its customers in order to ensure the most efficient and durable tool.

When we say we are the "plastic solution finders", it sounds a little abstract. But maybe we were a little bit of that over 30 years ago, when we started very small with 5 old injection molding machines and a handful of employees.

But certainly not as consciously as today, where around 100 employees see their identity in working in the field of KU technology (injection molding, film extrusion, toolmaking) to find brilliant solutions for tasks and problems and to implement them in series production. For us, this requires thinking in terms of alternatives, focusing on diversity and breaking away from old paradigms. Our customers are mainly industrial customers from very different industries. Among them are many very well-known companies that are leaders in their industries ... smaller ones as well as large corporations. What is the same with all of them is the very long-standing cooperation that connects us.

Our company was founded in 1948 and has been owned by the family

From Mr. Rudolf Hartig after the Second World War with the production of curtain rods. Since then, the raw material was scarce was on cans from the American "Care - packages" resorted. They were then rolled up and cut into a continuous strip and is pulled into a tube.

Due to the settlement of the distributed Gablonzer from Jablonec nad Nysa (modern Jablonec in the Czech Republic) in the area of the former Austro - Dragoons - barracks in Enns the company Hartig became a supplier to the fashion jewelry industry.

This remained the case until Mr. Friedrich Zimmermann 1979 the company took over. The company was richer by a business through his experience in the field of construction. Mr. Zimmermann has recognized very early that the field of fashion jewelry in Austria has no future.

That's why the company established on the basis of in Steyr (20 km) Automotive industry has been restructured to a subcontractor this.This started with the delivery of various spare parts for production lines.
