Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM):
In 1969, we bought our first electrical discharge machine, which has been the foundation for our most important core capability. EDM very soon proved to be one of the promising new key technologies in metalworking. We have continually expanded our experience in die sinking and wire EDM and, these days, count ourselves amongst the leading contract manufacturers for precise metal machining. It is not the ten machines that we productively utilise every day that are getting us further, but the very high standards of our customers for surface quality and precision forming.
The advantages of EDM are: no mechanical stress to the metal piece, no limitations through hard metal grade or shape, high degree of machine autonomy, greater design possibilities at engineering level. Only an EDM-compatible design will profit from all EDM benefits – a piece of advice our customers will gladly follow.

Tungsten carbide working:

We have managed to form a solid base to work tungsten carbide parts efficiently by liaising intensively with the outstanding tungsten carbide manufacturer Metzger Ltd, Lotzwil/Switzerland, and by meeting the very high standards of our customers. We support our customers when it comes to choosing the right hard metal and the most suitable methods such as grinding and abrasion, polishing and extrude-honing and also provide the handling during and after the production process.
Only perfectly manufactured hard metal parts will convince the customer to pay a higher unit price.

Laser Machining:
As with EDM, we decided early (1986) to go with this new key technology. We have been using the Nd:YAG pulsed laser (LASAG) for laser welding, cutting, drilling, marking and laser cladding. The high power pulse and high beam quality melt or vaporise nearly all known materials. Lasering is used to produce microstructures and to connect highly challenging geometrical shapes by conduction welding.

The same rules apply as for EDM: only a laser-compatible design will be able to take advantage of all the benefits laser technology has to offer.

Gempper Manufacturing Technology GmbH is a young, dynamic and family-run business that was established in 1991 in his parents' house in the sideline. In 2007/08 entry of the two sons in the family business. Through continuous investment in new computer-controlled manufacturing equipment and the tireless efforts of our staff, combined with skill and enjoyment of new challenges, we have made our company grow healthily.

We have specialized in manufacturing small and medium series, single part production, production of prototypes and assemblies. The Glaetzer GmbH works with CNC machining center of the latest generation for well-known clients in the automotive industry and its suppliers farms. The company specializes in large series, the ideal lot size 10000-150000 parts by year.

There are predominantly used the tried and tested devices and tools of sister companies, as here, testing and experience great expertise has emerged. This leads to a real advantage for the customer, because Glaetzer combines three business segments: CNC machining in conjunction with Räumtechnik plus system technology!

We work on forgings and castings for the automotive industry, where we specialize in complex geometries and larger dimensions of the parts.

Our expertise we have developed specifically in the areas of Spannvorichtungen and cutting tools.We have the cutting tool manufacturers-sectional data analyzed by long-term testing and developed inserts that are tailored specifically to the operation.

In the last five years, a new CNC machining center was purchased with changing tables annually, each was specified according to our specifications. All centers are similar in basic design, but have in detail about different performance.

Räumtechnik

From the beginning of the rooms belongs to the range of Glaetzer. We have broaching machines with up to 1,000 mm stroke at a maximum tensile force of 10 tons. It can be assigned up to 4 per broaching machine.

The broaching process is characterized partly by a high dimensional accuracy of the workpiece and simultaneously excellent service life of the tool.

We offer dezidiertes specialized knowledge in the field of broaching tools, sharpening and of course the broaching process itself. Here we make use of the expertise of the sister operation Meyer + Dörner GmbH, whose sole business is the manufacture, service and the trade with broaches.

What is our concept?
GRAVIDOO® serves both private and business customers — both locally for more demanding issues and in our online shop.
Our concept is to work in partnership with well-known manufacturers, to purchase the products directly from them and then sell them in our online shop. The manufacturers and products are therefore selected in the high-priced segment. The customer then has the option of purchasing the product in its original condition or having it personalized in the form of an engraving.
In the b2b sector, it is also possible for the customer to order us to procure the desired product - even in larger quantities - and then engrave it by us.
In addition, we also serve all inquiries from industry about laser marking of components, etc.

Milling
We can produce unique or serial parts with our DMU 50T CNC milling machine and SolidWorks CAM software.
We are also able to modify or rework existing products.

Turning
We have a conventional Optimum TH 3309 turning machine to complement the milling operation if needed.

Laser engraving
We can engrave and cut laminated plastic materials with a 40W laser engraving machine.

It can be any shape, text or picture according to your needs and imagination.

Measurement
We own a Platinum Faro Arm 8', with 1,7m granite table inside climatized measurement room. We are able to perform measurement for our own gages but also for our customer parts (simple dimensional measurements, normality study, Cp/Cpk...).

In association with our design skills, we can also do reverse design to create model according to part measurement.

The Grohmann Group produces cast aluminium parts of top quality. At our Bisingen, Mühlacker, Schopfheim and Hirrlingen sites we manufacture cast parts using the chill casting and sand casting methods of production. We reliably supply customers from all sectors of industry (mechanical engineering, engine construction, the automotive sector, electrical and medical equipment, etc.).
Mechanical processing in our own facilities and with selected external partners enables us to satisfy industry’s desire for components that are ready to fit. Surface treatments of all kinds are the norm for the Grohmann Group.
