1857, we were founded on of local authority as "iron foundry Schoening".

Until the economic end of the then world-famous drilling machine factory "RABOMA" we were their house foundry and produced beyond extensive custom castings for customers from all over Germany.

Also we are one of the few German start-up and development foundries for the material "cast iron with nodular graphite" and still produce on the basis of production methods for "meehanite".

The Foundry
In 1998 we took over the company as a successor company and operate under its current name since then in the same place.

With about 50 employees, we have made in the last 20 years a reputation as a foundry for special materials.
We finished of course, all the normal cast iron products without special criteria.

However, our specialty is in the area of challenging single and small series parts, to all high-alloy grades and so-called "exotic".

We can see from our list of references, we use a very large demanding group of customers and supply all industries with castings below large series.

The annual production output is about 8000 tons, the number of employees a staff of 100. Thanks to our advanced facility, based on extensive experience and a team of highly qualified engineers and skilled workers, most of which were formed in the frame of our junior nursing in our own factory, we are one of the leading quality foundries in southern Germany. The great importance that we attach to environmental protection, on our considerable investment in measures for good working conditions and lowest possible exhaust emissions.

Ekstrametal, founded in 1987, is a medium size foundry providing high quality solutions to it’s customers at every stage from design to the finish machining of nodular and grey cast iron components.

Ekstrametal have amassed over 30 years experience and gained extensive professional expertise in the production of a variety of parts and components to highly respected well known companies. Our clients are operational in the following sectors, agricultural machinery, ship building, machine manufacturing, railways, construction, and hydraulics etc. Over 90% of our production is to countries within the European Union.

Located in the first dedicated Industrial Zone of Ankara, Ekstrametal’s production facilities are divided split into two specialist foundries. Together they have 16,000 tons/year casting capacity. Through optimised production capacity and high-quality operating equipment, customer’s requests for single and series production can be responded to quickly, flexibly and reliably, at all times ensuring fast response and high quality standards are maintained.

Extensive investment has ensured that the most innovative technologies and latest generation machines tools are able to deliver 9,000 tons machining capacity per year.

Collectively the foundries and the machining plant are installed within a 38,000 square meter covered area.

Over 80% from the production of our company is manufactured to be exported. The products of our company are delivered in more than 50 countries from the whole world.

Together with my 8 suppliers located in Turkey, we are supplying mechanical parts for our customers in Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands and Spain since 2014. We are currently working for more than 10 customers in Denmark, 7 customers in Sweden, 1 customer in Spain and 3 customers in Netherlands.


I work for my suppliers as their business development manager to manage the commercial and technical communications and business relationships with the customers and know my suppliers for more than 10 years. My suppliers send their invoices to customer and payments are made directly to my suppliers. I am paid by my suppliers only.
