For more than 50 years Sass-metal manufactures drawing, deep drawing and bending parts especially for the rubber processing industry. After the experience gained we support at an early stage of development very strictly to our clients in the development and improvement of rubber-metal parts. With the help of in-house design (SolidWorks) the designs can be quickly implemented in tools and prototypes in our own tool. Already in this phase is taken by using a robust quality to mass production techniques. For series production will be built depending on the part geometry insertion progressive or transfer dies. In the part surface (oiled, washed or provided with corrosion protection) take note of the special requirements of vulcanization.
As the base material cold and hot bands are used in the thickness range between 1 and 5 mm. To meet the need for lighter components, we also process steel up to 600 N / mm ².

SATER, your partner in cold moulding metal wire
Our company has been operating for almost 70 years in the cold moulding of metal wire for the production of rivets and standard or “special” metal parts (to Customer design).
From the factory in Nichelino (Turin), near the main road and rail links, SATER products are exported all over the world, from Uzbekistan to China, from the Ivory Coast to Brazil
SATER products can be used in the most varied industrial sectors.
SATER’s extremely flexible production is capable of adapting to suit the needs of big companies and smaller companies either. The raw materials used are: iron, aluminium and its alloys, copper and its alloys (brass, bronze), nickel, stainless steel….
A significant expanding of SATER’s products range was given in 1999 by the took over of “Mondon Ribattini S.r.l.”, which brought its historical know how in the production of small parts.
Quality
Quality and Customer Service have always been SATER’s aims and in 1999 the company was awarded ISO 9001: 1994 certification. This certification was aligned in 2002 to the requisites of UNI EN ISO 9001: 2000 (TUV Sud Italia di Certificazione ISO 9001) to comply with the periodical inspections by the TUV, the highly respected certification board based in Germany.
Codesign
Thanks to its experience, SATER contributes to solving the Customer’s technical/financial problems, providing assistance during the product design phase.
Experimentation
Thanks also to the presence of a strong tool department, SATER is able to quickly create new products to be tested with the Customer. The above is also possible in the raw materials warehouse and the drawing department.
Equipment
A FEM’s software to analyse cold forming steps, together with 3D CAD, the PC network for Management and the measuring laboratory, ensures rapid, efficient service and high quality.
Moulding
Over 40 presses installed, some of which have several stations, are able to carry out cold or semi-hot moulding of traditional or “special” parts to Customer design, and these may be threaded or cut.. Each press is equipped with a particular process-monitoring machine.
Washing
The systems installed enable cleaning and polishing, where necessary, of the parts produced, in both dry and damp conditions, both with traditional washing cycles and specific customised cycles in industrial washing machines.
Heat treatments
The automatic controlled furnace enables every kind of treatment (to customer requirements), with annealing and tempering for the stretching of the fibres. Special heat treatments such as carbonitriding, austempering, tempering and induction tempering, etc., are contracted out to specialised and qualified suppliers.
Surface treatments
Various kinds of galvanising, mechanical galvanising, coppering, tinning, brassing, nickeling, silvering, Teflon coating, passivation and application of thread locks, etc. are carried out by specialised and qualified suppliers. We’re also in a position to supplying treatments concerning us to the new European CrVI free dispositions (IMDS too)

The products can be packaged in bags or boxes in various sizes, with the logo and set of customised information as requested by the Customer
