C. Melchers & Co. was established on January 1, 1806 in Bremen, where the global company still maintains its headquarters to this very day. In the first few decades of the company’s history, over 30 ships sailed the oceans of the world under the Melchers flag, linking the ports of Europe, America and the Pacific. In the 1860s, C. Melchers & Co set up operations in Asia, where all its trading interests swiftly moved. The company Seelandt & Utecht OHG Plastics Processing was founded on 01.07.1990 by the shareholders Michael Seelandt and Heiko Utecht in Eldena at Ludwig's content. Purpose of the company is the manufacture and sale of plastic products of all kinds and all activities in connection therewith. The production was initially only an injection molding machine with a clamping force of 50 tons. In subsequent years, the machinery could werden.Im gradually expanded in 1993, the production site of Eldena was moved to Schwerin.
